Currently Reading

Paul:

Becky:

Joseph:

Rachel:
Skye:

Adrie:
Katie:
Nathan:

Three notes:
Nathan is on a Dr. Suess kick.  All I have to say is "do you know how LONG Dr. Suess books are?"

Do you see a theme to Rachel's reading selections?  We are so different (I lean towards historical fiction and realistic fiction).  One day Paul mentioned Legolas and Rachel blushed and giggled.  Sigh.

Joseph is slowly working his way through Les Miserables.  He complained that the book was hard to hold because it is just so big.
I said "at least that is the abridged version."
Joseph "That is not abridged."
Me, pointing to the word abridged.
Joseph "Oh."

  1. Les Miserables is one of the few books I wish I had read abridged.

  2. The Graveyard Book is one of my favorites! I love that Rachel has a crush on Legolas. I crush in the Ranger (in the movie - I have yet to conquer Tolkein!)

And Les Mis is best abridged! I got lost during all the war talk.

  3. Maybe I'll see if some of my kids are ready for a few of these books (we'll wait on Les Mis since Andrew is only 9 ...).

  4. I read the unabridged version of Les Mis. LOVED it, skipped some of the politics.

  5. How come I'm just now seeing this post? ...anyway...love this list! It's great! I'll have to take a few notes on the ones I haven't read. :) Maybe all of you should get on goodreads so I can track your reading. I love getting the updates of who has read what. :) (Although at the quantity you must go through it would get a bit time consuming!)

  6. I need to get back to reading. I read like 15 books last year. Embarrassing! I'll take any recommendations you have. :)
